Job Summary This position provides coordinated leadership for the College's CARE (Behavioral Intervention) and student conduct functions to support student success, retention, and a safe, supportive learning environment. The position administers the non-academic student conduct process, including investigation, adjudication, sanction implementation, and case resolution, ensuring outcomes that are fair, consistent, and educational. In addition, the position serves as the primary non-clinical case manager for students referred through the CARE process, conducting intake and risk assessments, developing individualized support plans, and coordinating outreach, referrals, and follow-up in collaboration with campus and community partners. The position co-chairs the Behavioral Intervention Team, performs regular triage of referrals, monitors trends and outcomes, and leads college-wide education and training on conduct processes, community standards, and CARE reporting. Essential Functions 30% - Serves as the college's designated conduct officer. Conducts investigations of reported violations of college policy, student code of conduct policies, and other violations. Provides all case management for non-academic misconduct, from intake through sanction completion. Serves as a consultant to faculty and staff on student behavior, and support strategies. Directs and oversees the resolution of escalated issues. 30% - Serves and the primary case manager for students identified through CARE referrals, including conducting intake assessments, evaluating risk factors, and developing individualized support plans. Conducts daily triage and risk assessment on all referrals received. Coordinates proactive outreach, referrals, and ongoing follow-up to support student well-being and success. 30% - Co-Chairs the college Behavioral Intervention Team. Ensures compliance with administrative regulations, policies, and procedures. outcomes and trends for operational improvement. Develops, implements, and assesses program strategies and goals. Leads college-wide education on standards, conduct processes, and CARE reporting. Develops and delivers training programs for faculty, staff, and students. 10% - Provides leadership in Student Affairs. Supports retention and student engagement programs and efforts. Represents CGCC at meetings, and serves on committees. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, educational leadership or related field and five years of program administration or management experience, that includes two years of supervisory experience. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications 1. Master's degree in Counseling, Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field. 2. Demonstrated experience working with diverse groups of students in higher education or an educational setting 3. Demonstrated experience adjudicating student conduct cases in a higher education environment 4. Demonstrated experience serving or supporting a CARE/Behavioral Intervention Team 5. Demonstrated experience developing or delivering training, presentations, or outreach related to student conduct, CARE reporting or student well-being and support. 6. One year of relevant full-time MCCCD experience during the previous two years. **** Experience within other community college systems or higher education institutions is valued and may be considered in addition to MCCCD experience.
