As a Security Officer - Main Entrance Screener in Edgerton, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech location, you will greet employees and visitors, conduct entry screening, verify credentials, and monitor assigned areas for security-related concerns. You will stay highly visible, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams to help reduce incidents while delivering a strong customer service experience. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, contractors and visitors at entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization and directing individuals to the correct location.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct bag and package inspections as required by post orders, documenting findings and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access restrictions and reporting suspicious activity to site leadership.
• Complete required logs and reports for screening activity, incidents and unusual conditions, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
