As a Security Officer - Entry Screening in La Grange Highlands, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will greet team members and drivers, verify credentials, screen entry points, and observe loading and trailer areas for unusual activity. You will complete routine patrols, document security-related events, and communicate clearly with site leadership to help support smooth operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors for authorized entry using approved access control steps, including verifying identification, visitor logs, and delivery and/or pickup documentation.
• Inspect bags, parcels, and designated items as required by post orders, helping to deter prohibited items from entering restricted areas while maintaining a professional and respectful approach.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting irregular activity, escalating concerns through the chain of command, and coordinating with site leadership when directed.
• Complete detailed reports and maintain accurate records of screening activity, access events, and incident information in accordance with Allied Universal requirements and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
