As a Security Officer - Building Office Park Driver Patrol in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a high-tech aero and defense location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and complete detailed reports using site systems. You will respond to access control concerns, assist employees and visitors with directions and questions, and communicate clearly with site leaders. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or badges as required, and directing visitors, vendors, and deliveries according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Operate security-related equipment such as radios, access control systems, and cameras as assigned, and complete accurate reports and shift logs for Allied Universal.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
