As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage badge checks, visitor and driver sign-ins, and controlled entry at gates and/or guard posts. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and use a computer or tablet to document activity and communicate with site teams. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Control access at entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor sign-in, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, and maintaining access logs for personnel and vehicle traffic.
• Screen incoming and outgoing traffic by checking deliveries, pickups, and driver documentation, coordinating with site contacts for authorization, and documenting exceptions per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for irregular activity, unsecured doors or gates, and reporting findings according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
