The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of an aviation parts warehouse and logistics operation. To include managing inventory, coordinating shipments, supervising staff, ensuring a safe work environment, and implementing procedures to optimize warehouse processes, all while maintaining a focus on safety and security within the facility; requiring strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively manage daily operations and optimize logistics within the supply chain. They will provide day-to-day management of the warehouse and logistics operations to ensure on-time delivery of high quality, FAA-regulated products to customers and suppliers.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Oversee inventory and warehouse performance by ensuring accurate stock control, optimizing space and rotation, forecasting demand, and partnering with warehouse leads to improve productivity and prevent loss.
  • Manage daily warehouse operations by overseeing inbound and outbound activities, streamlining workflows to improve productivity, and coordinating transportation to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
  • Oversee logistics operations by optimizing the use of freight forwarders and shipping partners while leading and motivating the logistics supervision team.
  • Lead and develop warehouse staff by assigning work, monitoring performance, hiring and training employees, and providing ongoing coaching and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure warehouse quality standards are met by overseeing proper product handling and packaging and proactively identifying and resolving quality issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Enforce safety and compliance standards by implementing safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and training, and ensuring adherence to all applicable warehouse regulations.
  • Generate and analyze KPI reports on inventory, shipping accuracy, and productivity to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.



Qualifications:



  • Minimum High School or GED, BA, BS preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive aviation experience including at least 3 years in a warehouse or similar operating environment at the supervisor or manager level.


  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP, WMS, and data analysis tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of experience managing hourly warehouse employees with strong knowledge of warehouse procedures and policies
  • Experience with aviation technical publications and documentation standards, including ATA 100, ATA Spec 300, and ATA Spec 2000, with the ability to interpret IPCs and trace documentation.
  • Proficiency in Quantum Control (Component Control) or similar aviation ERP/WMS platforms (e.g., AvSight, Pentagon 2000SQL, ERP.aero).
  • Working knowledge of export compliance, including ITAR and EAR regulations.
  • Mastery of Velocity or similar incident tracking systems.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement certification.
  • Proven success in managing audits and risk mitigation strategies
  • Proven leadership skills, including goal setting, motivation, conflict management, and delivering effective feedback
  • Strong problem solving, decision making, and strategic planning capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional time management, organization, project management skills, and understanding of warehouse best practices



Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
  • Use of warehouse equipment and tools (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks).
  • Visual acuity for inspections and documentation.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
