Position Purpose:
The Waiver Operations Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the operations of the residential and Envisions programs in the Community Living Department. The incumbent oversees DD Waiver funded services to ensure compliance with regulatory entities: DBHDS Licensure, DMAS, HCBS and Human Rights. Primary Duties: *Provide supervision and oversight to Residential Supervisors, Waiver Day Program Supervisor, and others as designated by the Director of Community Living *Oversees incident reporting and administration and ensures the implementation of medical or programmatic follow up as needed *Ensure compliance to local, state and federal regulations and that of accrediting bodies *Assists with on-site visits by local, state, and federal agencies and coordinate responses from reviews, as needed *Develops, implements and monitors a system to ensure orientation and training of employees meets regulatory requirements *Supervises and provides leadership for personnel including assistance in the hiring process, scheduling work, time management, and performance evaluations *Develops, implements and maintains a system of meeting staffing requirements in all programs *Chairs interdisciplinary team meetings for individuals within the Community Living program, as needed *Monitors completion of ISPs, quarterly reviews and service authorizations in WaMS *Monitors and ensures that programmatic, medical, dietary, and vocational aspects of individuals care meet require standards of quality care *Participates in the admission/discharge process for Waiver programs *Assists in the development and implementation of electronic data and record systems *Participate in the development of budgets, variance meetings. and monitors the overall financial management of the department *Oversees all aspects of operations, including maintenance, housekeeping, and repairs of operations *Prepares statistical reports, correspondence, and other data as required *Serves on the Community Living Quality Assurance Team ensuring the effectiveness and quality of program operations as needed. *Serves as a liaison for VersAbility Resources with Local Human Rights Committee to present program, behavioral, and/or treatment plans for committee approval and/or to represent the Community Living program as needed *Participates in Community Living Administrative On-Call *Assumes responsibilities in the absence of the VP of Community Living as needed *Assists in planning for program expansion and evaluating the Waiver programs *Follows the policies and procedures of VersAbility Resources *Provide support for community integration efforts and HCBS Rights Compliance *Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Skills Knowledge & Abilities: Education: Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology or a related field preferred. Must be able to maintain CPR, CPI, first aid and medication administration certifications on an ongoing basis. Experience: Three to five years' experience working with adults with intellectual and/ or developmental disabilities. Two years' supervisory experience with interpreting and implementing regulations, designing and implementing programs, and other equivalent experience that would enhance this position. DD Waiver experience and residential experience preferred. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work.
