Sign-On Bonus: External candidates may be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus. The bonus is paid in two installments: $5,000 in your first paycheck and $5,000 after six months of employment. Job Description: The Nurse Manager has the authority, responsibility, and accountability for the overall operations and patient care provided within the Emergency Department. This leader demonstrates excellence in interdisciplinary teamwork, quality improvement, evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, and informatics. Responsibilities include operational and organizational planning, regulatory compliance, fiscal management, staffing oversight, maintaining standards of nursing practice, coordinating services, and supporting the professional growth and development of staff. The Nurse Manager serves as a clinical resource, monitors nursing practice, guides the development of standards of care, and provides coaching and education to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. This role works closely with patients, families, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), nursing leadership, quality teams, and multidisciplinary partners across the organization and health system.

Education: Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.

Experience: Minimum of two to five years of Emergency Department or critical care nursing experience required. Three to five years of progressive leadership experience required. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required. RIES (or equivalent) must be completed within one year of hire. TNCC and ENPC certifications must be obtained within two years of hire. Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and staff development skills, along with the ability to effectively lead in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
