At TC Energy, we are proud to connect the world to the energy it needs. Guided by our values of safety in every step, personal accountability, one team and active learning, we deliver the critical energy that North America and the world rely on while balancing reliability, affordability and sustainability.

The Opportunity

TC Energy is seeking an experienced Integrity Threat Engineer to support and optimize corrosion integrity programs across our 31,000+ mile natural gas transmission pipeline network. You will partner with corrosion and integrity specialists to develop and execute annual threat programs, establish key performance indicators, and drive continuous process improvement. In this role, you'll analyze inline inspection data to develop remediation strategies, oversee reliability-based assessments, and deliver technical solutions-all while collaborating across Project Management, Operations, and Planning teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant integrity management that protects public safety and the environment.

As part of the US Corrosion Threat Management team-a central hub connecting multiple teams within TC Energy's technical and operational management system-you'll be instrumental in fostering collaboration and driving integrity excellence across the organization.

**Position not eligible for relocation assistance**

What you'll do
  • Develop, execute, and optimize annual external and internal corrosion integrity threat programs for our natural gas transmission system
  • Review consequence area assessments and determine appropriate integrity assessment methods, remediation strategies, and approach adjustments
  • Develop integrity projects with engineering justifications and integrate approved work into company planning and tracking systems
  • Conduct quarterly program reviews and update integrity plans based on inspection results, operating conditions, and emerging risks
  • Analyze inline inspection (ILI) data, reliability-based assessments, and dig recommendations to identify and mitigate corrosion threats
  • Support ILI bundling optimization by evaluating schedule modification requests and assessing program-wide impacts
  • Provide technical input to asset performance evaluations, corrosion risk assessments, and integrity due diligence for business development and M&A activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams-Project Management, Integrity Support, Gas Operations, Commercial, and Integrated Planning-to ensure compliant and successful integrity execution
  • Support development and implementation of standards, procedures, specifications, and KPIs aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Prepare and review engineering assessments, technical memorandums, feasibility studies, and risk evaluations using sound engineering principles
  • Deliver day-to-day technical support to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring programs progress safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and platforms to enhance corrosion threat management capabilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • 6+ years of experience in pipeline integrity, corrosion engineering, or related field
  • Working knowledge of pipeline integrity, US federal regulations (CFR Part 192), corrosion mechanisms, and integrity assessment methods
  • Proficiency with inline inspection (ILI) data analysis and integrity assessment tools
  • Strong decision-making ability with limited information and excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across technical and operational teams
  • Technical acumen combined with strong interpersonal and teamwork capabilities
  • Genuine interest in learning new technical subjects and contributing to continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in pipeline integrity or corrosion management programs
  • Background in Regulatory Special Permits and Alternative Maximum Allowable Pressure (AMAOP) requirements
  • Experience with risk-based inspection (RBI) methodologies and asset integrity management systems
  • Familiarity with pipeline industry software platforms and data management systems
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification
