Meet the Team

Cisco Silicon One is redefining networking silicon and setting new industry standards for decades to come. We are seeking a seasoned New Product Program Manager to join our dynamic SiOPs team, build and manage a ASIC Program schedules, and ensure best-in-class operational excellence across the full ASIC product lifecycle-from prototype through production sustainment.

As the leader for the New Product Program Manager (NPPM) team, you will be responsible for driving the successful introduction and ramp-up of new silicon products from concept through production. You will partner multi-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Test, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and cost objectives are met. This role requires strong program management skills, technical competence, and the ability to influence and coordinate across multiple organizations.

Your Impact

  • Team and Program Leadership: Lead multi-functional teams through the full product lifecycle-from definition, prototyping, and validation through volume production.

  • Develop and mentor NPPM team members across grade levels and regions in support of large/complex silicon program development and ramp operations to production release.

  • Build the vision, strategy and execution plan for the NPPM team in support of the SiliconOne development priorities and deliverables with Predictability, Velocity and Quality.

  • Interact and influence program directions, highlight risks and recommend mitigation strategy, at the executive level

  • Schedule Management: Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed program schedules, achievements, and deliverables.

  • Risk Management: Identify and proactively manage program risks, ensuring timely mitigation plans are in place.

  • Interested party Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for program status, updates, and critical issues to senior management and interested parties.

  • Lifecycle Ownership: Own all aspects of product lifecycle management-scope definition, BOM/POR, schedules, interlocks, communication, and sustaining handoffs.

  • Multi-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Test, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Marketing to ensure alignment and resolve issues.

  • Cost and Quality Targets: Ensure products meet established cost, quality, and reliability targets at each development stage.

  • Operational Rigor: Monitor consistency to Plan of Record (POR), manage changes, and ensure alignment with schedule, quality, and cost targets.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and present program status reports, post-mortems, and lessons learned to leadership.

  • Program Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in program execution, using standard methodologies and lessons learned.

Required Qualifications

  • People Leadership
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience directly leading and developing multi-functional teams including program managers at multiple levels, across projects of varying complexity and scope.
  • New Product Introduction & Lifecycle Management
    • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in managing new product introduction (NPI) processes and overseeing product lifecycle management for hardware or semiconductor products.
  • Technical Knowledge: Silicon/System Development
    • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in two or more of the following areas: silicon/system architecture, design, verification, product/test engineering, and lifecycle management, including direct involvement in at least 2 end-to-end product development cycles.
  • Hardware/System Design & Production Engineering
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware/system design, testing, and production engineering, including successful completion of at least 3 product transitions from design to production.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field and a minimum of 12 years of program management experience in semiconductor, hardware, or high-tech product development; or
    • Master's degree in a related field and a minimum of 8 years of program management experience in semiconductor, hardware, or high-tech product development.
  • Product Launch
  • Demonstrated success in launching at least 3 new products to market within the past 5 years in a fast-paced environment, meeting all key project achievements on time and within budget.
  • Translating Customer Requirements
  • Experience converting customer requirements into at least 10 actionable engineering achievements, with evidence of on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Communication Skills
    • Proven ability to deliver at least 10 executive-level presentations and author 20+ comprehensive written reports or project updates for multi-functional audiences.
  • Organizational, Analytical, and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Evidence of leading at least 5 large-scale projects requiring advanced organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as measured by project delivery metrics and partner satisfaction scores.
  • PMP, Agile, or similar project management certification.
  • Experience with silicon product development, ASIC/SoC, or hardware manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with supply chain operations, quality/reliability testing, and manufacturing process flows.
  • Black Belt in Six Sigma or equivalent process innovation/management.
  • Experience using program management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira).

Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below. For locations not listed below, the recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.

U.S. employees are offered benefits, subject to Cisco's plan eligibility rules, which include medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time.

U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco's policies:

  • 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees

  • 1 paid day off for employee's birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco

  • Non-exempt employees** receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees

  • Exempt employees participate in Cisco's flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)

  • 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours ofunused sick timecarried forwardfrom one calendar yearto the next

  • Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members

  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer

For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

  • .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

  • 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

  • 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and

  • Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below:

New York City Metro Area:

$187,300.00 - $272,700.00

Non-Metro New York state & Washington state:

$166,800.00 - $242,800.00

* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.

** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
