DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this Field Auditor 3 position, you will assist the Compliance Manager in developing fiscal compliance work programs to be used for the review of provider compliance with County and State financial requirements and new regulations. This includes assisting the CM with other functions such as setting the priorities, timing, and schedules for on-site fiscal compliance monitoring; developing contract compliance policies and procedures; coordinating special assignments; and monitoring the status and timely completion of assigned compliance reviews.

You will also be responsible for supervising Contract Compliance Officers. Overseeing them as they conduct on-site monitoring and complete reviews, helping them resolve complications that arise during site visits, and assisting with the provision of guidance and training to staff on various compliance procedures as well as all relevant DHS, county, state, and federal regulations and policies are key aspects of this supervision. These responsibilities include reviewing their work papers for regulatory requirements, completed department worksheets, and accurate reconciliation as well as ensuring compliance with industry standards and completion within acceptable bureau standards and time frames.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Scheduled hours can vary depending on the needs of the regional offices.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. A hybrid schedule up to two days per week is available after six months of employment. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Field Auditor II; or
  • Two years of experience in progressively responsible accounting or auditing work, including one year of supervisory or advanced auditing experience, and a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or
  • Three years of experience in progressively responsible accounting or auditing work, including one year of supervisory or advanced auditing experience, and one and one-half years of college level work, including or supplemented by six credit hours in accounting; or
  • Four years of experience in progressively responsible auditing or accounting work, including one year of supervisory or advanced auditing experience; and graduation from high school, supplemented by six credit hours of post high school courses in accounting. Additional training in accounting, business administration or a related field including six credit hours in accounting may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to two years of the required experience; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
