Position Title: CNC Mills Machinist

Wage: $25-$30/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 5:30am-2pm

We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist skilled in machining plastic components within a high mix, low volume environment. The role requires frequent setups, operation of CNC milling equipment, and production of precision parts across a range of plastic materials. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, adaptable, and committed to producing high quality short run and prototype parts. This is an associate to hire role in Richfield, WI.

CNC Mills Machinist Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Set up, program, and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision plastic components per drawings and specifications

- Perform efficient machine changeovers to support low volume production

- Adjust cutting tools, speeds, and feeds as needed

- Inspect parts using precision measurement tools to verify compliance with tight tolerances

- Collaborate with Programming to resolve machining challenges related to plastic material characteristics

- Maintain accurate setup sheets, program files, and inspection records for repeatability

- Contribute to process improvements in machining, tooling, and fixturing

- Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure a clean, safe work area

CNC Mills Machinist Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years of CNC milling experience, ideally in plastic machining or a job shop environment

- Strong understanding of plastic machining behavior, including fixturing and chip control considerations

- Ability to work independently on short run and prototype jobs

- Solid knowledge of cutting tool selection and tool life optimization

- Proficiency in reading blueprints, tolerances, and GD&T

- Experience with 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines (Haas, Brother, Doosan, or similar)

- Experience machining tight tolerance plastic parts

- Ability to assist with fixture design and setup optimization

- Prior experience in a quality driven or regulated environment (e.g., ISO 9001)

- Exposure to loud noise, moving mechanical equipment, and variable temperatures

- PPE required

- Role involves standing, manual dexterity, and occasional lifting of materials or fixtures up to 40 pounds

- Strong emphasis on quality, safety, and craftsmanship

- Materials may include acrylic, polycarbonate, FR-4 epoxy glass, GPO polyester glass, HDPE, glass epoxy, G9 glass melamine laminate, copper, brass, and aluminum
