Position Title: Machine Operator - Automatics
Wage: $17-$18.50/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:30am-3pm or 7am-3:30pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Machine Operator for a company in Waukesha, WI. This is an associate to hire opportunity. Machine Operator - Automatics Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Perform complete machine set-ups including programming, installing wire guides, loading raw materials, adjusting picker gap, carriage speed, material pressure, trimmers, wire tension, changing filling tools and pickers, and making general adjustments to run machines - Perform routine maintenance including lubrication, belt changes, changing trimmer heads, cleaning vacuum systems and computer air filters, and general housekeeping - Produce product at or above standard production rates while maintaining quality specifications - Maintain and update program card files and spare parts cabinet - Document setups in the logbook and complete daily time sheets and labor summaries - Cut raw materials when needed and box finished product when applicable - Perform quality checks at each operational step and immediately report any issues to the production supervisor - Assist in training and guidance for new team members Machine Operator - Automatics Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Knowledge of basic shop math and understanding of metrics - Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32 of an inch and use measuring tools like micrometers and analog/dial calipers - Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills - Ability to work with minimal supervision - Strong organizational skills - Ability to learn machine programming - Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) - Machine operating experience preferred (3+ years) - Frequent pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, standing, stooping, walking, and lifting - Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (above 50 pounds may require assistance) QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
