TheTechnical Product Specialistserves as the primary technical liaison for Commercial customers, ensuring successful integration, connectivity, and ongoing support for Workforce Health Solutions products. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution, directly impacting customer satisfaction, retention, and national growth goals. By owning customer connectivity-from EMR integrations and file transmissions to new technical development-this specialist ensures that solutions are both technically sound and strategically aligned. Reporting to the Director of Technical Product Managers, the Technical Product Specialist is a key player in a cross-functional environment. They are responsible for translating business requirements into clear user stories and technical specifications, fostering deep partnerships with both business stakeholders and technology teams. Success in this role requires a blend of strong technical expertise, customer advocacy, and the ability to manage complex projects and relationships to deliver high-quality, seamless integrations. This is a hybrid position based in our Lenexa, KS location (three days per week in-office).
Responsibilities:
- Lead customer implementations from a technical and connectivity perspective, including EMR integrations, new development, and data transmission solutions.
- Act as the customer advocate to assess technical capabilities and recommend optimal integration approaches.
- Own the full integration lifecycle from initiation through post-go-live support, ensuring delivery meets service expectations and SLAs.
- Provide ongoing connectivity support to drive customer retention and prevent attrition.
- Serve as the liaison between customers, vendors, Commercial partners, and Quest Technology/Interoperability teams to manage timelines, testing, and go-live readiness.
- Partner with business and Commercial stakeholders to translate customer needs into well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements for the development team.
- Collaborate with technology and development teams within an agile framework, acting as the voice of the business to clarify requirements and ensure technical solutions meet customer expectations.
- Collaborate with regional and national partners to resolve issues, prioritize work, and support commercial delivery objectives.
- Coordinate documentation, security assessments, and interface requirements; submit and manage integration requests and tickets through internal teams.
- Manage and troubleshoot file transmissions and data exchanges using tools such as GoAnywhere, sFTP, MFT, XMIT, and ESB platforms.
- Support Informatics data transformation and specialized offerings (e.g., Order Echo dried-blood spot connectivity).
- Develop and maintain clear technical documentation, workflows, and user guides to support integration and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
Required WorkExperience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial healthcare industry required
- Ideal candidate can demonstrate success as a technical product specialist within the healthcare industry
Preferred WorkExperience:
- Experience with the following technologies: GoAnywhere, sFTP, MFT, XMIT, and ESB platforms.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of IT connectivity concepts, integration models, and support practices within healthcare or laboratory environments.
- Experience supporting or interfacing with LIS, EMR, or similar clinical or enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of laboratory operations, workflows, and business processes supporting employer and population health solutions.
- Understanding of healthcare data exchange, connectivity solutions, and information systems used to support customer integrations.
- Working knowledge of service level agreements (SLAs) and operational performance expectations in a customer-facing environment.
Skills:
- Strong customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
- Ability to collaborate and influence in cross-functional, matrixed environments without direct authority.

Work Environment:
Travel Required:
- Domestic travel up to 25%.
Required Education:
- BA / BS undergraduate degree in technology, marketing, business, communications, or public relations required.
Preferred Education:
- Master's degree is a plus.
Preferred Technical Training or Professional Licensing:
- Training in Agile Software Development Process.
- Scrum Theory
- Quality Management training focused on developing project plans, engaging stakeholders, lean thinking and delivering projects on time and on budget
