Billing & Document Specialist Summer Intern

RRD is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team this Summer as a Billing & Document Specialist Intern!

**THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE**

Position Summary

This intern position will work as s a Billing Specialist & Document QC Intern, you will support the Healthcare team by bridging the gap between financial data and content integrity. This role offers hands-on experience in the full monthly billing cycle-from data extraction and metric tracking to report generation. Additionally, you will develop sharp analytical skills by performing comparative document analysis, diagnosing content discrepancies, and delivering summarized insights to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

Billing Specialist

• Extract data from internal tracking systems
• Perform precise data entry
• Generate comprehensive billing reports
• Monitor and maintain specific operational metrics to ensure billing accuracy

Document Analysis

• Compare document content, analyze differences and similarities.
• Evaluate variable content versus static content.
• Verify accuracy of data and document content against a set of Masters.

Task & Time Management

• Must follow clear directions to organized daily work.
• Must follow established task milestones and due dates.
• Provide support via telephone/email using corporate toolset for logging and tracking document reviews.
• May be required to provide evening and weekend support to HealthCare clients during healthcare peak season.
• Must be able to work independently and within a team environment.

Other

• Work with standard toolsets for content comparison.
• Manage document analysis tasks to achieve designated milestones and timelines. Escalate issues and blockers to Senior team members when needed.
• Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

• Required - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; candidates with a minor in Accounting or a strong interest in the financial healthcare sector are encouraged to apply.
• Required - Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Required - Familiarity with PDF, MS Word, MS Excel, Google Docs and Google Spreadsheets.
• Nice to have - Additional desired skills are needed, but on the job training will be offered - Adobe Professional, MS Access, PDF Comparison tools, Desktop publishing tools such as InDesign and Google Tools (e.g. Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Meets).

The rate of pay for this role at the noted location is $24.00 / hour. In addition to base pay, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
