As our Systems Engineer II - Windows Administration specialist, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our Windows infrastructure that supports thousands of mission-critical workloads, while leveraging cutting-edge AI tools to maximize your effectiveness.

What You'll Own

  • Ticket Queue Management: Process and resolve incoming requests efficiently, prioritizing tasks to ensure timely customer support
  • AI-Powered Problem Solving: Leverage AI tools and assistants to accelerate troubleshooting, research solutions, and optimize your workflow
  • Infrastructure Reliability: Maintain and optimize Windows Server environments, ensuring stability, performance, and security across our enterprise infrastructure
  • PowerShell Automation: Develop scripts and automation solutions to streamline repetitive tasks, using AI to enhance your code quality and efficiency
  • Patch Management: Implement and maintain comprehensive patching strategies to keep systems secure and compliant
  • System Monitoring: Proactively monitor server health, respond to alerts, and address performance issues before they impact customers
  • AI-Enhanced Documentation: Create clear, accurate documentation using AI tools to improve quality, consistency, and comprehensiveness
  • Effective Escalation: Recognize when to escalate complex issues to subject matter experts and collaborate with them to achieve resolution

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (higher education valued but not required -- we care more about your skills and passion)
  • 5+ years of hands-on Windows Server administration experience
  • 5+ years working with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 in enterprise environments
  • Strong proficiency with PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Experience with IIS (Internet Information Services) administration
  • 3+ years implementing and maintaining monitoring and patch management solutions
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery technologies
  • Working knowledge of virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware)
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and Windows security best practices
  • Demonstrated ability or strong willingness to leverage AI tools for problem-solving and automation

Nice to Have:

  • Proxmox VE experience
  • Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE, or current role-based certifications)
