Overview
Job Title: Vice President of Quality Department: Clinical Quality Reports To: Chief Clinical Officer; indirect line to General Legal Counsel Direct Reports: Quality Manager FLSA Status: Exempt
The Vice President of Quality establishes and maintains best practices in a comprehensive Quality Management System. The position will closely align with executive leadership and other key stakeholders to identify policies, information systems, outcomes and process improvement key performance indicators/ outcomes data to assess and improve processes to achieve increased efficiency and effectiveness, resulting in improved outcomes. The VP of Quality develops oversight to analysts performing analysis, planning, and managing the execution of process improvement initiatives to drive improved results.
Responsibilities
The Vice President of Quality Management will create and oversee the essential components of an integrated Quality Management System. Key focus is on ensuring individual care quality is integrated throughout every internal and external interaction. Utilizes a data-driven approach to ensure high quality care across Bancroft programs and to drive quality improvement. Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and measure key components of organizational clinical quality. Follows all regulatory and ethical guidelines regarding data management. Key functions include: * Develops the strategic components of a Quality Management System to ensure regulatory compliance, high quality care, and strategic positioning. * Partners with Legal, Risk, Compliance and Leadership to develop an organizational structure for effective quality management, systems for quality policy development and review, and a document management system. * Aligns Bancroft's Quality Management System with regulatory and compliance entities. Develops collaborative relationships with external entities. * Designs and implements Quality Management tools for ongoing assessment and quality improvement. * Assesses work culture; together with leadership, champions an organizational culture of safety and continuous quality Improvement. * Builds, monitors, and oversees a quality dashboard including current metrics and best practice metrics * Develops a suite of process workflows, controls and metrics to improve performance. Monitors and tracks initiatives on appropriate intervals; proactively identify risks and interdependencies to implementation. Leads implementation of recommendations, and monitors sustainability of improvements over time. * Communicates conclusions for long-term, sustainable solutions that influence executive leadership to adopt transformational solutions. * Synthesizes analyses into operational insights and practical recommendations to assess risk, financial impact and conclusions for long-term, sustainable solutions * Maintains collaborative team relationships with peers and colleagues in order to effectively contribute to Quality Improvement Manager 10.25 the working groups achievement of goals, and to help foster a positive work environment * Provide regular reports of projects completed and in progress along with relevant metrics demonstrating financial and operational impact. * All other duties as assigned.
