Overview & Position Summary

This position supports community sales operations by assisting with customer engagement, preparing sales materials, maintaining accurate information in CRM and other tracking systems, and contributing to a professional and welcoming environment for prospective buyers. The role provides exposure to the homebuilding sales process, including model home operations, customer interactions, and administrative support, while working under direct supervision. This position also develops foundational knowledge of homebuilding, products, and sales processes, contributing to a consistent and positive customer experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and assist with initial customer interactions to ensure a welcoming and professional first impression.
  • Support Community Sales Consultants by standing in as needed, assisting with tours, and addressing routine buyer inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate prospect, visitor, and sales-related data in CRM, tracking tools, and other systems.
  • Prepare and maintain model homes, sales offices, and marketing materials to ensure a polished and organized environment.
  • Support onsite events, community activities, and promotional initiatives.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including contract preparation, paperwork, and reporting.
  • Monitor inventory of sales materials, supplies, and model home readiness.
  • Participate in training and development programs to build knowledge of products, sales processes, and homebuilding operations.
  • Support communication between customers, sales team members, and other departments to facilitate smooth handoffs and a positive experience.
  • Conduct follow-up with prospects with the guidance of sales team members.
  • Learn and understand local market, including competitor pricing, floor plans, and options offered.
  • Participate in sales simulations with sales team members to refine sales skills.
  • Work closely with mortgage team to learn the mortgage process, to provide customers with a seamless experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support day-to-day operations and team objectives.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Up to 1 year of relevant professional experience.
  • Basic familiarity with customer service or administrative work.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in retail sales, customer service, hospitality, or administrative support roles.
  • Exposure to CRM systems or customer-tracking tools.
  • General understanding of real estate or homebuilding concepts is helpful but not required.

Working Conditions

Work occurs in model homes, sales offices, and general office environments. Regular movement through community areas and model homes is required. Weekend and variable scheduling aligned with customer traffic is expected. Occasional travel between nearby communities or company meetings may be required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk through model homes, community spaces, and occasionally on construction-adjacent pathways.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during customer interactions.
  • Ability to lift and carry light materials such as brochures, signage, or supplies.
  • Ability to use standard office technology and communication tools.
  • Ability to move between indoor and outdoor environments as required.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $27.50 per hour while in the training program
  • Estimated Annual Compensation with Commissions: $115,000 - $150,000
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
  • Bonus Type: None
