Job Description

Aircraft Technology, Inc., (ATI), a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, is an FAA/EASA Part 145 Repair Station. ATI supports a wide range of rotary and fixed wing components found on both commercial and military platforms around the world.



ATI of HEICO is seeking a NDT Inspector Level I for an immediate full time direct hire position in Hollywood, FL.



ROLE: Perform non-destructive testing under the supervision of NDT Level II/III personnel to identify surface and near-surface defects in materials, components, and assemblies. Follow established procedures and standards to ensure quality and safety compliance.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:



  • Conduct inspections using assigned NDT methods for liquid penetrant and radiography under supervision.
  • Properly prepare test samples and apply NDT techniques in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Record and report test results accurately.
  • Maintain NDT equipment in good working order and ensure proper calibration.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Assist Level II/III personnel as needed in inspection activities.
  • Processing parts through the complete penetrant inspection cycle.
  • Set up and operation of radiation generating devices, (e.g. x-ray machines and processing parts through the complete radiographic inspection cycle.
  • Ensure that all required maintenance actions are performed in accordance with FAA approved data and applicable manufacturer's maintenance manual.
  • Document all actions correctly and completely for the appropriate maintenance forms
  • Maintain test areas in a clean orderly condition, at all times and ensure tolls and equipment are properly calibrated as required.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

Requirements

EDUCATION




  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited school.
  • NDT Level I certification in relevant methods per NAS410 / SNT-TC-1A / company standards.
  • Basic understanding of inspection techniques and standards.
  • Attention to detail and strong observational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.




EXPERIENCE



  • At least one year of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience



CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS



  • Level I Liquid Penetrant and Radiography
  • ASNT Liquid Penetrant Certification



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILIITIES


Language/Communication Skills: English: ability to read and interpret documents such as emails, reports and correspondence. Excellent ability to communicate both orally and in writing.


Computer Skills: Proficient working knowledge of computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)


Mathematical Skills: Ability to use basic mathematics.


Reasoning Abilities: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.


Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, strict attention to details and ability to multitask and prioritize as necessary, with minimal supervisory direction.


Interpersonal Skills: Must work well and communicate with others. Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks


Technical Skills: Familiarity with the scope and limitations of the liquid penetrant method(s); Familiarity with the scope and limitations of the radiographic inspection method(s)
