What you'll do:
Uniform & Equipment Provided
Work Hours: Varies (Opportunities for overtime through special details including athletic events.)
Pay Grade: 16 (starting at $24.34 for this position) WVU provides competitive wages for its employees, and takes experience and related education into consideration when determining appropriate salary.
Employees in this position are eligible for regular incremental raises in hourly rate tied to milestones in the training program. Eligible for three retention incentives starting second year.
Certified officers are eligible for a signing incentive upon completion of onboarding. Please note: This is a pool requisition so your application will be considered for all current Campus Police Officer openings. If you are selected to move forward in the hiring process, your application will be moved to a specific Campus Police Officer opening. Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or GED Experience: 6-12 months experience dealing with the public or an equivalent combination of education, military, or completion of a law enforcement/criminal justice program will be accepted Requirements
