Job Overview

The Saw Blade Maker's primary duty is to help Arc3 provide excellent customer service by making sure Arc3's stores receive the necessary inventory of saw blades in a timely manner. The Saw Blade maker will also help manage saw shop inventory.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage saw blade production.
  • Receive sawblade orders from branches and end customers.
  • Package sawblades for each order.
  • Ship sawblades to branches or directly to customers.
  • Prioritize sawblade orders.
  • Process transfers for shipped sawblades from the saw shop to the appropriate branch.
  • Maintain an appropriate inventory of coil stock and other related sawblade items.
  • Receive and store coil stock shipments in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with the Warehouse Manager to ensure that overall sawblade operations function smoothly.
  • Check in all merchandise from vendors and UPS by ensuring that all packages have been delivered and are undamaged.
  • Check the contents of the packages against the Packaging Slip.
  • Turn in the Packing slips to the Warehouse Manager and report any discrepancies.
  • Remove all back orders from the incoming shipments and place them into bins/pallets designated for the store.
  • Stock all remaining inventory in assigned warehouse bins in an accessible manner.
  • Fulfill store, gas truck, customer, and orders submitted by branch personnel.
  • Package and ship saw blades along with to the appropriate locations by arranging them securely onto designated pallets or in bins.
  • Use shrink wrap to secure pallets as needed.
  • Report any items that are out of stock to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Deliver all gas truck orders to the Gas Plant staging area each day by 4:00 p.m.
  • Keep sawblade production area neat and orderly.
  • Participate in the annual inventory count.
  • Work safely.
  • Maintain conditions that ensure a healthy and safe working environment.
  • Promote cooperation and commitment within a team to achieve goals and contribute to group efforts by sharing ideas, suggestions, and workloads.
  • Build constructive working relationships characterized by a high level of acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect.
  • Perform other duties as assigned outside of the normal scope of making saw blades.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Vocational/mechanical training preferred.
  • Able to stand on concrete for extended periods of time.
  • Bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching frequently.
  • Walking 90% of the time and sitting 10% of the time.
  • Lifting and carrying hard goods weighing up to 75lbs frequently without accommodation.
  • Climbing in and out of forklift.
  • Climbing ladders.
  • Exposure to loud noises that may be uncomfortable.
  • Exposure to outside weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold temperatures.
  • Packaging and handling of extremely sharp products.
