Job Details
- The Material Handler supports production teams at client by ensuring materials, parts, and supplies are continuously available to maintain efficient workflow across the manufacturing floor.
- This role focuses on keeping production cells fully supplied, removing completed items, and coordinating material movement so technicians and assemblers can remain focused on assembly and production tasks.
- By maintaining a steady flow of materials and managing visual replenishment signals, the Water Spider helps prevent downtime and supports on-time delivery of aviation products.
- Deliver raw materials, parts, and consumables (fasteners, packaging) to workstations in a just-in-time manner to maintain an uninterrupted workflow.
- Support and sustain efficient production flow within assigned work cells, often configured in U-shaped layouts, ensuring technicians and assemblers remain focused on value-added assembly tasks.
- Remove finished goods and empty containers from workstations and transport them to designated areas to maintain organized and efficient workspaces.
- Manage and monitor Kanban cards or visual signals to trigger timely material replenishment and maintain inventory levels at workstations.
- Assist with workstation setup activities, material staging, and quick changeovers to support efficient production cycles and minimize downtime.
- Stage materials and assist with workstation changeovers to support efficient production transitions and minimize delays.
- Maintain a consistent pace to ensure workstations are never idle.
- Report material shortages, damaged materials, safety concerns, or production disruptions to appropriate personnel to ensure timely resolution.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $19.00/hour Length: Temporary (3-4 months) Hours: 9/80 schedule (shift options below) 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM w/ optional lunch break extends shift to 3:30 PM

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or material handling
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of production processes and manufacturing, with the ability to understand how materials flow through the production environment.
- Understanding of the entire production, process and, and specific work cells.
- Organization: Highly organized to manage multiple workflows simultaneously.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and consistent attendance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Lean knowledge (Kanban, 5s, visual management)
