Summary:

The MRI Technologist performs highquality magnetic resonance imaging procedures to support accurate diagnosis and exceptional patient care within the MaineHealth system.

They will work collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and fellow technologists to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate imaging services, while following allMRI safety protocols, attention to detail in image quality, and will provides excellent customer service to patients and families, while supporting MaineHealth'scommitment to highquality care and continuous improvement.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology required. Graduate of an MRI program preferred, or completion of a direct pathway program.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license in Radiologic Technology required. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT--MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) MRI certification- eligible. Must complete advanced certification in MRI by ARRT or ARMRIT within one year of hire. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
  3. Experience: No experience required; one year of relevant experience preferred.
