The Job at a Glance We're looking for an AI Platform Engineer to help bridge our data platform and emerging AIecosystems. This role sits at the intersection of our GCP-based data warehouse and semantic layer and a growing set of AI-driven applications and workflows. You'll focus on making systems work together, enabling data to flow cleanly into AI use cases, and helping evolve our platform to support more intelligent, automated workflows. A Typical Day * Build and refine integrations between our GCP data warehouse, semantic layer, and downstream systems * Develop or modify APIs to make data and services more accessible to AI-driven applications * Create connectors and lightweight services that enable systems to interact programmatically * Work with data models and datasets to ensure they're usable for both analytics and AI use cases * Troubleshoot how data and services move across systems and improve reliability and performance * Partner with data, platform, and application teams to understand requirements and unblock use cases * Contribute to pragmatic design decisions that improve interoperability without over-engineering To Land This Opportunity * You have strong programming skills (Python preferred, with other languages as a plus). * You have strong SQL skills and are comfortable working directly with data in a warehouse environment. * You have experience building APIs (REST, gRPC, or similar). * You have experience with orchestration or workflow tools (such as Airflow) * You have experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines * You have experience working with cloud data platforms (GCP preferred) * You have experience supporting ML- or AI-driven systems * You have familiarity with data warehouses and core data modeling concepts. * You have a systems-thinking mindset with attention to governance, abstraction, and architectural clarity * You have strong communication skills with experience articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders * You have experience with enterprise data platforms * You are familiar with infrastructure-as-code or modern DevOps practices * You've worked with semantic or metrics layers. The salary range for this role is $121,315.97-$163,720.39/annually which is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay-for performance company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role.
