As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, helping to deter unauthorized access, contraband activity, and/or other policy violations.
  • Monitor entry points and controlled access areas, verifying identification and/or authorization, screening belongings as required, and directing individuals according to post orders.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, medical situations, and/or other critical incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site staff and public responders as needed.
  • Complete required security-related documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity records, and maintain required readiness of assigned equipment consistent with post requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
