Job Description




Please read all details prior to applying. This position is located on the Island of Kaua'i (STATE OF HAWAI'I).

As a Airport Security Professional - Curbside Patrol in Lihue, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere while supporting the overall mission of the location. Position Type: Part Time - Morning

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. The premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements:

    Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
  • 21+ years of age
  • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government aviation location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and/or public agencies as required by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, administrative areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or credentials when required, and directing individuals to the appropriate screening and/or check-in areas per site procedures.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate noteworthy observations to the appropriate personnel during shift briefings and/or post turnover.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
