Security Officer - Credential Verification

As a Security Officer - Credential Verification in Lenexa, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet drivers and team members, manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, and track visitor and trailer activity. You will conduct routine rounds of assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support smooth operations through clear communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and facility staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, processing visitors and vendors, issuing badges as required, and maintaining accurate access logs and reports.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by screening and directing drivers, monitoring inbound and outbound traffic flow, and coordinating with onsite personnel regarding dock and yard access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including escalating concerns through the proper chain of communication and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the building, yard, and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured doors, and equipment irregularities, and reporting findings per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
