As a Security Officer - Part-Time Unarmed Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service, document observations, and coordinate with site teams as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, associates, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing initial scene support and coordinating with site leadership and/or first responders as directed.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and security-related systems, complete shift logs and incident reports, and communicate key information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
  • Support shipping, receiving, and delivery activity by observing loading dock traffic, verifying credentials and/or visitor purpose when required, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in process.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
