Responsibilities

The pharmacy assistant will perform all clerical duties required for the efficient running of the pharmacy. Duties and responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks that contribute to the overall quality of patient care.

    Ensures compliance of all policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations as they relate to this position.
  • Receiving and unpacking new stock delivered by suppliers.
  • Performing intake duties for any deliveries the pharmacy receives including tracking and maintaining all supplies for the department.
  • Assisting the department with clerical work, and files.
  • Ordering and organizing office inventory.
  • Assist in scheduling deliveries, data input of deliveries and working with Logistics.
  • Monitoring and replenishing the storage supply warehouse.
  • All employees will adhere to NYBC quality standards.
  • Makes recommendations for improve business units practices and processes.
  • Any related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or educational equivalent.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience performing clerical or administrative support.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or basic inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Cultural competency and the ability to communicate effectively in a culturally sensitive manner with both individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-starter while working well in a strong team environment.

For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed hiring rate is $23.00p/hr to $27.00p/hr. For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant's skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.

Unless otherwise specified, all posted opportunities are located in the New York or Greater Tri-State office locations.
