Overview
The Purchasing Operations Analyst plays a key role in supporting procurement strategy by analyzing, improving, and standardizing purchasing processes, tools, and reporting. This position is responsible for driving operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with best practices, and supporting cross-functional collaboration across technical, finance, and legal teams. The role combines data analysis, vendor management, and process improvement to enhance overall purchasing performance and alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement & Optimization
Analyze existing purchasing processes, tools, and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency, and standardization.
Develop and implement enhancements to purchasing systems, dashboards, and reporting capabilities.
Support initiatives that drive harmonization and best practices across procurement operations.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Develop, maintain, and analyze purchasing dashboards and reports to support strategic decision-making.
Utilize tools such as Power BI and other reporting systems to provide actionable insights.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement and supplier performance.
Contract & Bid Support
Collect and analyze technical, financial, and legal information to support the development of contracts and bid documents.
Assist in preparing and reviewing procurement documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with internal stakeholders including technical, finance, and legal teams to ensure alignment on procurement activities.
Coordinate reviews and approvals for contracts, bids, and vendor-related matters.
Vendor Performance Management
Document and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics for vendors and suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance against agreed-upon SLAs and identify areas for improvement.
Support vendor governance processes to ensure compliance and performance standards are met.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2-5 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or operations analysis.
Experience working with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
Familiarity with contract management, vendor performance tracking, and procurement processes is preferred.
