Job Overview:
The Compression Systems and Services - North America business unit is seeking a Product Manager, Light Industrial - Parts. This role reports to the Reciprocating and Small Rotary Portfolio Leader. This position will be responsible for leading the aftermarket strategy, lifecycle management, and growth initiatives for small reciprocating compressors and small rotary compressors up to 50HP across all supported brands: Ingersoll Rand, Gardner Denver, Champion, and DV Systems. You will shape the aftermarket portfolio vision for parts, consumables, service kits, and service programs that support the install base and increase asset attachment. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction, channel performance, and profitable growth in the light industrial aftermarket business.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage aftermarket strategy, roadmaps, value propositions, and business cases for the Light Industrial aftermarket portfolio.
- Lead lifecycle management for aftermarket products supporting reciprocating and small rotary compressors to drive revenue and margin expansion.
- Analyze market and technology trends, competitive activity, and installed base data to identify opportunities for new aftermarket offerings.
- Conduct voice-of-customer (VOC) activities, including customer visits, channel feedback sessions, and advisory panels, to shape product improvements and new aftermarket solutions.
- Manage and partner with key stakeholder teams to drive and ensure Aftermarket Readiness for NPD projects within the Gate process.
- Own and manage the aftermarket pricing strategy, including list price development, margin optimization, and competitive pricing analysis to ensure profitable growth.
- Create and defend business cases that justify investment in new aftermarket kits, consumables, and service programs.
- In partnership with commercial leadership, conduct channel reviews, focusing on aftermarket gaps, opportunities, and risk mitigation.
- Partner with Marketing and Demand Generation teams to promote aftermarket solutions and improve lead quality for service-related offerings.
- Drive operational excellence/ process improvement of the IRPX Aftermarket Readiness tools to deliver customer satisfaction, parts availability, quality, and on-time shipment.
- Lead cross-functional teams-including engineering, supply chain, service, operations and marketing-to deliver aftermarket solutions, commercial initiatives and operational improvements.
- Develop and execute aftermarket strategy to support parts availability, including New Product Development, demand planning, and strategic stocking.
- Support Sales and Sales Enablement in the creation of training materials, sales tools, product literature, and competitive selling resources.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 7+ years of experience in commercial, sales, aftermarket, service, or product management roles within industrial B2B markets.
- 2+ years of experience working with customers and working within a phase-gate or structured product development environment.

Preferences:
- Technical degrees (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering) preferred.
- MBA preferred
- Experience supporting or managing aftermarket portfolios is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with industrial equipment aftermarket.
- Prior exposure to channel distribution models.
- Experience creating and launching aftermarket product strategies.
- Experience using data analytics to drive aftermarket demand.
- Strong business acumen, including financial modeling and business case development.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret market and product data.
- Experience with Salesforce, SAP/Oracle or other ERP/CRM tools is a plus.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
- This position will be based at our corporate offices in Davidson, NC, with 10-15% overnight travel expected.
