The Columbia University Program in Physical Therapy is seeking a collaborative individual with a strong work ethic for a staff physical therapist position in a vibrant Academic Clinical Faculty Physical Therapy Practice. This individual strives for clinical excellence and patient-centered, compassionate care.

The mission of this faculty practice is to provide the best clinical practice, facilitate professional development among the physical therapy clinical and academic faculty of the future, and foster a collegial learning environment for clinicians, residents, and physical therapy students.

This experienced, energetic, and team-oriented individual will:



  1. Provide clinical care to patients with a broad range of orthopedic diagnoses
  2. Efficiently execute all professional duties
  3. Remain current with emerging evidence and skills in the pursuit of life-long learning
  4. Invest in collaborative clinical practice
  5. Communicate with respect and compassion

  2. Involvement in the Columbia University academic community, including teaching within the entry-level DPT program, mentoring an Orthopedic Physical Therapy Resident, and providing clinical instruction to physical therapy program students

Minimum Qualifications:



  • DPT with Clinical Certification
  • Must currently have or be eligible for PT licensure in New York State



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Clinical specialty preferred (ie, Board-certified Orthopedic Specialist)
  • Licensed to practice in New York
  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
  • 3+ years of clinical experience
  • BCLS Certified
  • Member of the American Physical Therapy Association
