Position Summary

The Service Clerk will report directly to the Service Clerk Supervisor and will be responsible for supporting all Earthmoving Service Department locations. The Service Clerk will handle a variety of administrative duties including creating purchase requisitions, completing the 'Ready to Close' checklist for all completed service calls, collecting PO's and other forms of payment from customers, and other duties not specified.

Essential Responsibilities & Expectations



  • Effectively communicate with Service Department personnel to address customer needs.
  • Handle closing of Work Orders in a timely fashion.
  • Obtain purchase orders from customers as required.
  • Effectively communicate with customers through phone, text, email, etc.
  • Generate purchase requisitions for the Service Department
  • Quickly contact correct personnel in the event of a customer dispute.

Qualifications

Education

High School diploma or the equivalent

Experience



  • Prior clerical or administrative experience is desired.
  • Experience and demonstrated skill using personal computers including Microsoft Office and basic typing skills are required for this position.
  • Must possess or demonstrate the ability to quickly acquire the following Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to safely reach, kneel, grasph, and stoop as required by the position.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 25lbs as required by the position.
