STV currently has an open position for an Electrical Engineer with our Buildings Group on a New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) assignment out of their field office. The main function of this job position is to prepare electrical design drawings, specifications, reports, and studies for NYCHA projects. Most of the work is performed within an office atmosphere. The Electrical Engineering position will report to the Chief Engineer or designee by the Chief Engineer in the Buildings Department in unison with the NYCHA Electrical Studio Lead.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Work as an Electrical Engineer within the Buildings Department.
* Preparation of multiple Engineering Design Projects involving Electrical Design for all phases of Design Services, from Pre-Design through Closeout Activities.
* Preparation of power systems ac and dc single-line diagrams, wiring drawings, conduit routing drawings, cable schedules, equipment mounting and installation drawings, grounding grid design, lightning protection design, lighting design, and related power distribution design drawings.
* Prepare engineering design criteria and reports.
* Prepare engineering technical specifications.
* Prepare budgetary construction cost estimates for power and lighting system projects.
* Perform onsite inspections, physical measurements, and field reports.
* Attend factory tests, site commissioning tests, and preparing field reports.
* Assist with preparing technical and cost proposals for new work.
* Perform Design Reviews for Design Documents prepared by others.
* Use engineering judgement throughout all of the assigned projects and coordinate with NYCHA Electrical Studio Leader on major issues.

Compensation Range:

$95,975.90 - $109,686.74
