STV has a robust IT support team that will ensure you have the right tools to execute your work and get assistance in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have experience leading an architectural/engineering team in preparing documents for both new construction and renovations and preparing documents for
building type projects in the Science & Technology, Federal, Healthcare and Industrial sectors.

The ideal candidate will lead Architectural Design work from programming and concept design through construction documentation for projects requiring interface and collaboration with various disciplines and consultants.
Ability to prepare and/or supervise architectural drawings utilizing a strong knowledge of building technology for all phases of a project.

* Executes code analysis, material selections, and prepared/coordinates with specifications writer.
* Conduct site and construction inspections for information-gathering purposes, and preparation of design reports.
* Perform construction administration including site visits, shop drawing review, RFI review and responses and supervision of record documents
* Coordinates with other disciplines. Plan, schedule, coordinate, manage and oversee the work of lower-level architects who assist with projects.
* Ability to assist in proposal preparation efforts from initial request for proposal to client interview would be a plus.

* Ability to make sound decisions while taking design direction from upper-level design architect and to work independently are also pluses.

Requirements:
* A Professional Degree in Architecture is required with 10 -12 years of licensed experience.
* Experience with SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) and ICD 705 projects is a strong plus.
* Proficiency with BIM / Revit, Blue Beam and Microsoft Office Suite are required. Photoshop, Sketchup, Enscape and Vray rendering skills area plus.
* Excellent design, presentation skills, both verbal and visual, and strong knowledge for generating technical details that are constructible are essential.
* The candidate should be a self-starter with a passion for problem solving, and an understanding that project success comes through teamwork, and a firm focus on client needs.
* With our Federal work we will need a US Citizen in order to qualify for the position.

Essential Duties Include:
* Determine collectively with project management, the technical approach and design criteria for projects.
* Lead and coach junior architectural staff
* Perform independent investigations, studies, and architectural analysis.
* Develop design details, plans and specifications.
* Contribute new designs, or techniques which are of material significance in the solution of important problems.
* Ensure conformance with STV and client standards, established architectural practices, applicable codes, and technical adequacy of design and construction.
* Review shop drawings and Requests for Information

Compensation Range:

$104,402.58 - $119,317.24
