As a Security Officer Patrol Unit in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a renowned cultural institution, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $24.13 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public areas, staff spaces, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exhibits-adjacent areas, and restricted spaces to help to deter unauthorized access, support orderly visitor flow, and report security-related issues promptly.
• Support daily operations by observing for maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior, then relaying information to the appropriate personnel for follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
