WhatYou'llDo:

Operations

Provide expert leadership across regulatory operations, including IND submissions, FDA interactions, international regulatory compliance, investigational product oversight, SOP development, recruitment and retention strategies, specimen management, monitoring, auditing, and research program communication.

Ethics

Ensure ethical conduct of research by overseeing consent processes, adverse event reporting, IRB submissions, and regulatory and safety reporting while serving as an expert resource to multiple study teams.

Data

Lead data capture, management, quality assurance, security, provenance, and analysis activities across the research portfolio, including qualitative and quantitative analyses, reporting, visualization, and mentoring others in best practices.

Science

Contributesubstantially toscientific advancement through development of grant proposals, protocols, manuscripts, and publications while mentoring others in research design and scholarly dissemination.

Study and Site Management

Oversee study feasibility, site management, sponsor and CRO interactions, resource management, budgeting, operational planning, and study closeout across multiple studies and sites.

Leadership

Provide programmatic leadership through staff development, committee participation, change management, cross-functional collaboration, and application of advanced subject matterexpertiseto solve complex research challenges.

Portfolio and Clinical Responsibilities

Direct the full research program lifecycle, manage staff and budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, support investigators, and represent the research program internally and externally.

Required Qualifications at This Level

Education/Training

* Completion of aBachelor'sdegree

Experience

* Minimum of four years of research experience (e.g., research, clinical work, interaction with study populations, program coordination).

* AMaster'sdegree may substitute for two years of related experience.

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $76,811.00 to USD $130,576.00. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
