As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control professional at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit activity, and/or directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with location protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observed activity and communicating with site contacts and emergency responders when appropriate.
• Monitor gates, badging points, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, report irregularities, and/or follow established escalation procedures for denied entry or suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual conditions, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns within an industrial chemical and petrochemical environment.
• Complete required logs, reports, and shift communications, and/or assist with traffic flow, vehicle screening, and contractor check-in processes in alignment with site policies and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or at least 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or at least 3 years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
