Acara Solutions is seeking a Billing Clerk for our client in Amherst, NY!

In this role, you will join the accounting team to handle general accounting activities, provide office support, and perform systems administration responsibilities in an efficient, confidential, and professional manner. Our experienced accounting staff will provide proper training and support as needed for the right individual.

We are seeking qualified candidates with:

  • An Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • The desire to continuously learn and apply new knowledge!

Here's what you'll do:

  • Print and distribute incoming supplier and freight invoices, credit memos, statements, remittance stubs.
  • Prepare, enter, and bill freight invoices.
  • Prepare, enter, and bill vendor drop shipped invoices for customers.
  • Prepare, enter, and bill warehouse shipments for customers.
  • Post received warehouse packing slips.
  • Prepare, enter, and post accounts payable invoices.
  • Handle billing inquiries with internal and external customers as requested.
  • Research billing discrepancies and report billing-related problems to management.
  • Generate system reports and review customer invoices for accuracy.
  • Review UPS invoices for charges, voids, and estimated freight on supplier invoices using collect UPS account.
  • File completed work.

Position Type: Direct Placement

Pay: $24/hr.

Schedule: M-F 8:00AM-5:00PM **100% Onsite

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business.
  • 2 years' experience in accounting, billing or invoicing.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient with computer systems or able to quickly learn new systems.
  • Self-directed with strong initiative and attention to accuracy.
