Our South Carolina Water Utilities Team is seeking a Service Technician for Capital Projects. The Service Technician II- Capital Projects will perform routine checks of water and/or wastewater treatment systems; responsible for compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local rules/regulations. Assist in all areas of operations, maintenance, and customer service as needed for all facility systems within the company. Certifications required for the job must be obtained within the specified period of time.



Job Responsibilities



  • Assist in the construction, installation, and replacement of water and wastewater pipelines, valves, hydrants, and related infrastructure.
  • Operate and maintain construction equipment (e.g., excavators, compactors, pipe cutters) in support of capital improvement projects.
  • Perform site preparation, trenching, shoring, and backfilling while adhering to safety and permitting requirements.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, maps, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and project compliance.
  • Support project documentation, material handling, and coordination with engineers, inspectors, and contractors to maintain project timelines.
