Job Title: Senior Claims Applications Analyst

Location(s): San Francisco, CA

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 5-7 years of related clinical applications experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Epic Resolute HB or PB Claims and Remittance Administration certification required

Job Summary
This role is responsible for the design, build, testing, and implementation of clinical application systems. The analyst supports clinical users by applying knowledge of clinical workflows, documentation standards, and healthcare practices to optimize system functionality. The position collaborates closely with clinicians to adapt or develop protocols and ensures systems align with operational and clinical needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Translating clinical requirements into detailed technical specifications
  • Conducting workflow analysis, risk assessments, and impact evaluations
  • Supporting system troubleshooting, maintenance, and user support
  • Contributing to system optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
Scope and Responsibilities
General Scope:

Acts as a technical leader with deep expertise in clinical applications. Handles complex and unique issues requiring advanced analytical skills and independent judgment. May lead initiatives involving strategic planning, policy development, and resource management with a high degree of autonomy.

Functional Scope:
Applies advanced professional concepts to lead or contribute to medium-to-large scale projects of broad scope and complexity. May serve as a subject matter expert within a specialized area of clinical applications.

Department Overview

Clinical Systems and Health Informatics oversee all clinical and business software applications supporting hospitals, medical practices, affiliates, and community partners. This includes the electronic health record system and numerous other applications supporting patient care and operational workflows.

The team emphasizes:

Working Title: Senior Claims Applications Analyst

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST

Work Arrangement: Remote or Hybrid

Hybrid Requirement:

  • If hybrid, approximately 2 days per month onsite at Emeryville, CA.

Remote Consideration:

  • Non-local candidates are welcome and are not required to travel onsite.
