Pay Rate: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Shift: (1st Shift | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) (2nd Shift | 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)

Skills That Make the Cut

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work with precision, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a conventional machinist.
• Strong knowledge of manual machining processes and equipment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and machining codes.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills for tracking and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment.

Preferred:

• Forklift and crane operation certifications.

The Day to Day

• Operate 2- and 3-axis conventional mills and lathes within a multi-machine work cell.
• Perform complex machine setups, including tooling, fixtures, and chuck adjustments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to determine tolerances and machining sequences.
• Set and adjust machining parameters (speed, feed, depth, coolant flow).
• Run trial operations and monitor production to ensure precision and quality standards are met.
• Inspect finished parts to verify conformance to specifications.
• Utilize cranes, hoists, and forklifts to move materials and load machines.
• Track production time and maintain accurate job and quality records.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineering and production teams.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
