JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Peer Career Assistant Intern

2026-2027 GRADUATE PEER CAREER ASSISTANT INTERN

Penn State Career Services is seeking graduate students enrolled for the 2026-2027 academic year to serve as Graduate Peer Career Interns beginning Fall 2026.

Interns will work a maximum of 10 hours per week in person at the Bank of America Career Services Center, earning an hourly wage of $15.00.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing pre-scheduled career coaching appointments (in-person and virtual)
  • Conducting mock interviews (in-person and virtual)
  • Offering drop-in career counseling support
  • Delivering career-related workshops to student organizations and classes
  • Reviewing resumes and cover letters during drop-in hours for University Park students
  • Assisting with career development courses, events, and presentations
  • Supporting campus-wide career fairs and helping to promote Career Services programming

Preferred graduate programs include (but are not limited to):

  • Clinical Psychology
  • Counselor Education
  • Higher Education
  • Human Resources and Employment Relations
  • Workforce Education and Development

We are seeking graduate students who demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a genuine interest in supporting the career development of Penn State students.
