Job Description
The Epic Ambulatory Analyst III is a senior-level role responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of complex Epic systems. They are a subject matter expert in Epic Ambulatory and related workflows, providing guidance and mentorship to junior analysts. This role involves a understanding of system architecture, and the ability to translate complex business needs into effective technical solutions. They will spearhead initiatives to improve system performance, enhance user experience, and drive business goals through technology.
Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis, design, and optimization of complex system workflows and processes.
- Architect, build, configure, and test advanced Epic application functionalities.
- Manage and lead large-scale projects through the entire life cycle, ensuring timely delivery and successful implementation.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts, fostering growth and development.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Epic Ambulatory applications, providing expert consultation to stakeholders.
- Drive innovation by identifying and implementing new technologies and system enhancements to improve efficiency and patient care.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless system integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and training materials.
- Stay at the forefront of Epic technology by pursuing continuous education and advanced certifications.
- Provide high-level support for critical system issues, including on-call support for onsite and offsite locations.
Qualifications:
Required:
At 7+ years of experience in Epic Ambulatory application. Proven experience in leading projects and mentoring team members. In depth knowledge of healthcare industry practices and clinical workflows. Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
Preferred:
Experience in the Laboratory and Diagnostics industry. Experience with Genetic Counseling Workflows. Understanding of Scheduling and Check-In workflows in a clinic setting. Experience with Epic's interoperability platforms (Care Everywhere). - Advanced certification in multiple Epic modules.
Work Environment:
- Work requires handling light and simple weight material and equipment.Visual activity requires the ability to tolerate prolonged periods of close computer screens. Work requires speed, accuracy and adeptness to operate in system application. Fast-paced work environment. After hours, weekend and holiday work will occasionally be required as determined by the Application Mgr to support software/hardware patches, upgrades, downtimes and potential disasters.
Travel Required English Required Education:
- College degree in computer science, information science or equivalent work experience(Required)
- Maintain Epic Ambulatory certification plus one or more applications eg Prelude and Cadence, demonstrating their proficiency and expertise in those specific areas. (Required)
