Position: Corporate Communications and Events Officer | Division: Marcom| Work Days: Monday - Friday| Hours of Operation: 8:00am -5:00pm

Position Overview: The Corporate Communications & Events Officer is a multidisciplinary role responsible for supporting internal and external communications and event coordination in alignment with Broadway Bank's brand, culture, and strategic priorities. This position works collaboratively with Human Resources, Lines of Business, and the Office of the CEO to deliver best-in-class communications and events. The position assists with marketing and corporate storytelling initiatives and coordinates internal and external events that strengthen engagement and brand visibility. Essential Functions: Corporate Communications & Content Strategy
- Lead and coordinate internal and
external communication planning for enterprise initiatives, leadership updates, and employee engagement efforts, including events and volunteerism programs.
- Develop,
write, and edit a wide range of communications including executive messaging, internal announcements, intranet content, marketing collateral, and community communications. - Ensure
all communications align with brand standards, voice, tone, and AP style, maintaining consistency across all channels. - Support
Corporate Communications team with projects, and well as Corporate and C-suite communications, ensuring clarity, alignment, and strategic messaging. - Manage
content development workflows through project management systems, coordinating with Creative Services, Digital, and Compliance teams to meet deadlines and regulatory requirements. - Collaborate
with Marketing Communications to support integrated campaigns, brand initiatives, and community investment storytelling. - Support
internal communication channels, including intranet platforms and employee engagement tools, to ensure timely and effective information dissemination. - Monitor
and maintain communication calendars. - Ensure
all communications adhere to regulatory, compliance, and risk management standards applicable to the banking industry.
Event Strategy & Execution
- Plan,
coordinate, and execute internal and external events, including employee meetings, retiree events, community initiatives, and client-facing engagements. - Manage
all aspects of event logistics including invitations, RSVP tracking, run-of-show development, vendor coordination, venue logistics, signage, materials, and on-site execution. - Partner
with internal leaders and stakeholders to design events that align with strategic objectives, enhance engagement, and reflect the bank's brand. - Oversee
event budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective execution. - Coordinate
with vendors, venues, and external partners to ensure seamless event delivery. - Provide
on-site event support, including setup, coordination, troubleshooting, and execution oversight. - Develop
and distribute post-event communications, summaries, and materials to reinforce messaging and engagement. - Evaluate
event effectiveness through feedback, participation metrics, and post-event analysis.
Collaboration, Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate
with cross-functional teams to ensure communications and events are accurate, timely, and aligned with organizational priorities. - Serve
as a liaison between Marketing Communications, Human Resources, and Lines of Business to ensure coordinated messaging and execution. - Assist
with reporting, documentation, and tracking of communications and event initiatives. - Identify
and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency, communication workflows, and event execution standards. - Represent
the Corporate Communications function in meetings, committees, and cross-functional initiatives as assigned. - Maintain
organized records of communications, event plans, vendor agreements, and project documentation. - Support
additional corporate communications initiatives, administrative tasks, and special projects as needed to achieve departmental and organizational goals. - This position may require travel within the Bank's geographic area.
Experience & Education:
- Recommended minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing, corporate communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in writing, editing, and content development across multiple formats and audiences.
- Experience leading and coordinating events, meetings, or employee engagement initiatives in a corporate or professional environment.
- Experience supporting executive or leadership communications is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with advanced proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Working knowledge of AP style and ability to apply brand voice and tone consistently.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage sensitive or confidential communications with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and collaboration tools such as SharePoint.
- Familiarity with project management systems, content management platforms, and event coordination tools.
- Ability to think strategically while executing tactically across communications and event initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Knowledge of branding, marketing principles, and corporate communications best practices.
Other Requirements:
- Some travel to markets in Texas may be required.
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull weights or otherwise move objects weighing as much as 10 lbs. on a regular basis and/or for extended periods of time during the workday.
