Location: Remote or On-Site (West Plains, MO)

Hourly Compensation: $17.50

Schedule: Full-Time

Training M-F 8am-5pm Central, Post-Training Flex Hours M-F 7am-7pm Central

JOB SUMMARY
The Revenue Cycle Medical Billing Claim Prep & File - Government Billing Float prepares a patient account for claim filing by completing initial claim review and prep (signature validation, payor requirements, etc.) and moves the account for additional actions required to ensure timely and compliant submission.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
* Demonstrate excellent internal and external customer service skills.
* Maintain a working knowledge of government billing regulations.
* Manage claim filing.
* Work to achieve team and departmental goals.
* Display effectiveness as a member of a team.
* Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

SKILLS
* Understanding of CMS, HIPAA, and other payor rules and regulations as well as GMR policies.
* Must have experience filing medical claims with a high rating in clean claim accuracy
* Skilled in problem-solving through critical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to make timely decisions
* Ability to work independently in addition to being an active member of a tam
* Knowledge and experience of computers and related technology at an intermediate level including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
* Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types
* Must possess empathetic and professional written and verbal communication skills
* Must have/maintain a HIPAA compliant workspace with both audio and visual protection of patient information
* Must be able to work uninterrupted while on the clock

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
* Must be fluent in English.
* Minimum of one (1) year in healthcare Revenue Cycle billing environment/medical billing

PREFERRED EDUCATION
* High School diploma, GED, or significant relevant work experience
