Job Description




As a Security Officer Dispatch Specialist in Cambridge, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch Professional in a healthcare location, where you will help monitor communications, coordinate security-related responses, and support daily operations with professionalism and care. Pay Rate: $27.85 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Monitor phones, radios, alarms, and/or electronic systems to receive requests for assistance, relay information, and dispatch appropriate personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Document incidents, service requests, and/or unusual activity in logs and reports, communicating updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Support access control and visitor management functions by verifying information, directing traffic flow, and coordinating responses to security-related concerns and critical situations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as needed, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
