We are seeking an accomplished Quality Manager to elevate our Quality Management System and champion a culture of precision, compliance, and operational excellence. In this role, you will serve as the site's primary authority on ISO 9001 (or equivalent) standards, driving world class performance through rigorous audit readiness, data based decision making, and proactive quality leadership. You will guide a talented team of 7-10 professionals, ensure flawless execution of testing and validation activities, and partner closely with Operations and Engineering to strengthen process capability, resolve complex quality challenges, and deliver the reliability our customers expect.

This is a high visibility, high impact position for a quality expert who thrives in dynamic environments and is ready to shape the next chapter of our manufacturing excellence. This role sits onsite in Decatur, AL.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead a team of 7-10 quality professionals with full accountability for coaching, training, performance management, and daytoday direction. This role also provides indirect oversight of a laboratory.
  • Lead and maintain the site's ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ensuring full compliance, continuous improvement, and sustained certification readiness.
  • Lead Management Review activities, corrective actions (CARs), preventive actions, and systemic rootcause elimination.
  • Direct and develop the Quality and Inspection team to deliver high performance, strong capability, and consistent product and process control.
  • Oversee all plant testing operations-routine and nonroutine-including analytical testing, method development, and validation activities.
  • Manage quality documentation, design controls, calibration programs, material disposition processes, and all auditready quality records.
  • Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with operation procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize product reliability and minimize cost.
  • Solve complex product or process quality issues using statistical analysis, rootcause investigations, and crossfunctional problemsolving.
  • Provide technical leadership for qualification and validation of new hardware, process changes, and customerdriven requirements.
  • Report quality performance, trends, systemic risks, and improvement opportunities directly to senior site leadership.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to strengthen process capability, ensure continuous improvement, and maintain quality excellence.
  • Ensure the plant remains trained, aligned, compliant, and auditready through effective training programs, change management, and quality system oversight.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field (advanced degree a plus).
  • 10+ years of increasing responsibilityin Quality Management, ideally in aerospace, advanced materials, or chemical manufacturing.
  • Certified ISO Auditor required; ASQ certifications (CQA, CQE, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Six sigma (black belt) preferred
  • Statistics, SPC, quality control methods, validation principles, and inspection standards.
  • Proven experience leading audits, managing corrective actions, and interfacing with internal and external certification bodies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence crossfunctional partners, communicate clearly, and manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of organization, integrity, confidentiality, and followthrough.
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and digital documentation systems.
