The Team Lead oversees the delivery of highquality reporting and analytics across assigned client programmes. This role drives clarity of team objectives, supports performance and development of analysts, and ensures that all reporting outputs are accurate, consistent, and aligned with client needs. The Team Lead manages the reporting catalogue and prioritises adhoc requests, working closely with internal partners and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable insights. The role is also responsible for upholding reporting standards, championing best practices, and coaching team members on tools and analytical approaches to continuously improve the team's performance and capabilities. What you'll be doingGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Translate business objectives into clear reporting and analytical requirements, ensuring timely delivery of accurate, consistent reports, dashboards, and insights. * Advise stakeholders on the most relevant data, metrics, and analytical approaches to address business needs. * Apply exploratory data analysis and descriptive statistics to interpret data and identify trends or performance drivers. * Communicate analytical findings in a clear, actionable way to internal and external stakeholders. * Uphold high standards of data integrity, consistency, and governance, and provide recommendations to improve data quality, definitions, and business rules. * Define and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure metrics effectively measure programme performance, including alignment to contractual requirements. * Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) for dashboards and reporting solutions to ensure accuracy, usability, and business readiness. * Mentor, coach, and support analysts to develop their technical skills, analytical capability, and stakeholdermanagement strengths. * Manage team activities, including workload planning, performance management, employee development, and team engagement. * Support department objectives by overseeing team execution, evaluating results, and driving continuous improvement across reporting processes and analytical outputs. * Contribute to crossfunctional initiatives and special projects, as required. About youEDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's degree in business, data/analytics, computer science, engineering, economics, finance, or a related field. * Prior experience leading, mentoring, or developing team members in an analytics or reporting environment. * Minimum 5+ years of reporting and analytics experience, with demonstrated ability to translate business needs into analytical outputs. * Strong proficiency in Excel, including data manipulation, lookups, pivot tables, and advanced functions. * Proficiency with modern BI and data visualisation tools, for example Power BI, Tableau, or similar. * Experience with VMS platforms like Fieldglass, Beeline, VNDLY, or others. * Ability to work effectively across global programmes, including collaborating across multiple time zones when needed. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose root causes, interpret trends, and translate data into actionable insights. * Ability to extract, prepare, and transform data from BI tools and source systems to meet reporting and analytics requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: * Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain analytical insights clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences. * Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across teams and stakeholders. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple workstreams, and consistently meet deadlines. * Advanced analytical and problemsolving skills, with a keen attention to detail. * Comfortable operating in ambiguous or changing environments, and able to guide others through change. * Confident presenting data, insights, dashboards, or tools to internal and external audiences. * Ability to work accurately in a detailed environment while maintaining a clear understanding of overall business objectives. * Solid understanding of data concepts such as joins, filters, pivots/unpivots, data transformations, normalization, and summarization. * Advanced Excel proficiency, including data manipulation and analytical functions. * Exposure to automation concepts is a plus but not essential. * Familiarity with modern Business Intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and willingness to continuously develop tool expertise. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook Why choose us?It's an exciting time to be part of our team. Salary may be determined based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. This position participates in Pontoon's incentive program which also includes bonus eligibility. Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k plan or a non-qualified deferred compensation plan. Available paid leave includes Personal Time Off (PTO) on an accrual basis up to 152 hours a year, 10 Paid Holidays, 1 Community Service Day, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave.
