Lead Estimator

The Electrical Estimator will work on electrical construction projects bid and proposals through construction phase to completion, ensuring the work complies with all standards, specifications and budgets.

• Develop budgets and cost codes for projects; assist in the preparation of technical proposals, to include assisting in the design and writing the scope of work, management plans, work sequence, safety, quality control and commissioning.
• Gather data and assist in preparing bid proposal estimates and design/build proposals.
• Develop and present clear and detailed project scopes to the customer and meeting with potential customers to present proposals.
• Understand plans and specifications to identify the types and grades of materials and equipment needed and to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Gather data and assist in preparing bid proposal estimates and design/build proposals.
• Perform take-offs from drawings; price change orders.
• Understand and apply cost fundamentals; maintaining current, accurate information on prices from suppliers and contractors.
• Identify value added solutions and cost saving methods.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree inElectrical Engineeringor equivalent discipline required.
• 7+ years of experience required in electrical engineering, commissioning, or electrical safety programs preferred.
• Experience indata center, industrial, or large-scale construction environments is highly desirable

Technical Competencies

• Strong knowledge ofNFPA 70E,OSHA 1910.147,NFPA 70 (NEC), and other relevant electrical codes.
• Familiarity withLOTO program development,energization planning, andelectrical one-line diagram interpretation.
• Proficient in reading and marking upelectrical drawings, including power distribution and control schematics.
• Basic understanding ofcommissioning processes, testing equipment, and electrical distribution systems up to 15kV.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation practices.
• Effective communicator across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work in dynamic environments under supervision while maintaining independence and accountability.
